Skin Cancer Prevention and Early Diagnosis Program
Aiming to raise awareness on the prevention and early diagnosis of skin cancer and on the occasion of skin cancer awareness month, PASYKAF created in May 2021 a new program with the purpose to inform the public about the prevention and early diagnosis of this type of cancer.
The program aims to inform the public about the great importance of skin cancer prevention starting from a young age, the symptoms and risk factors. In addition, the program aims at reducing the annual melanoma incidents in our country which is considered as one of the most aggressive type of cancer as well as defending the patients’ rights and improving the quality of their lives.
What actions does PASYKAF take?
PASYKAF, in cooperation with the Cyprus Society of Dermatology and Venereology, informs the public about the importance of protection of the skin from ultraviolet (UV & UVB) rays, especially during the summer when they are stronger.
In addition, associate-doctors provide information through media programs, while posts are made on social media platforms regarding the importance of skin protection for both the adults and children, the risk factors as well as the main symptoms.
Information material is also offered in printed and electronic form, such as brochures and posters about the symptoms and risk factors.
What does PASYKAF offer you?
